About the Company:
TalentBin finds all the wonderful things candidates do across the entire social web, and then combines it all together into a one-stop search shop for talent pros to find candidates and reach out.
Our talent search engine creates “implicit resumes” leveraging the data exhaust that people leave on the Internet. For example, it pulls together data about software developers by looking at their activity on Github, StackOverflow, Quora, Meetup, and Twitter – allowing recruiters to get a comprehensive view of their areas of interest/skills.
You might think of it as LinkedIn’s recruiting tools, but for the whole web.
By crawling targeted professional networking sites to pull together composite web resumes – adding vital skills and expertise to traditionally sparse profiles – it helps make fast and definitive job matches. TalentBin has aggregated over 200 million professional profiles to date, and provides user access from anywhere as a web application, as a browser plug-in for Google Chrome, or within existing Recruiting CRM, ATS, or HRIS system through an API. With staff hailing from VMWare, eBay, and LinkedIn, TalentBin is funded by First Round Capital, Charles River Ventures, and Ron Conway ‘s SV Angel.

O.K., full disclosure, Andy Zoltners was a professor of mine at Northwestern. Sure, I still like the guy. But these are great books. I wish that I had them when I was a sales manager!
