You can see everything about a contact on one page, from their complete email history, birthday and important dates, background, notes and tasks, and any projects or opportunities they have been a part of. Insightly has an excellent project management system built right in. Define tasks and milestones for projects, and get email reminders of what’s coming up and what needs to be done. Pipelines & Activity Sets
Insightly supports automating repetitive business processes in the form of automatically assigning a group of tasks and events to almost any item in Insightly when needed, called an activity set. Due dates can be calculated going forward from a given date, or backwards from a critical finish date, making them flexible enough to suit any workflow. Coupled with that are pipelines, which represent a linear series of steps (stages) that can be defined for both projects and for opportunities. They’re a great way to visually track progress and see exactly what stage you’re up to in a process, and how far you have to go.
Tags are a wonderfully simple invention that allow you to organize anything in Insightly around a keyword that makes sense to you. So for instance, if you wanted to organize your projects and opportunities by geographic location – like Asia, Europe, and the Americas – you can categorize each item by adding the appropriate tag for instant future listing and reference. Tags can be added to contacts, organizations, opportunities, projects, and emails.
