Batchbook builds software that helps small businesses be awesome. The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island. Our first product, also called Batchbook, was launched in Fall of 2007 at DEMO, the premiere conference for emerging and innovative technology. Batchbook is cloud-based, social friendly, customer relationship software for small businesses.
At Batchbook, we are passionate about small business and the role they can play in changing the world. Our mission is to provide powerful tools designed and priced specifically for small business. Our products enable customers to organize their businesses so they have more time to live their lives.
In early 2009, Batchbook founded The Small Business Web, a movement to bring together like-minded, customer-obsessed software companies to integrate their respective products and make life easier for small businesses. What began as a five company collaboration (Batchbook, FreshBooks, MailChimp, ShoeBoxed and Outright) grew to over 70 companies in one year and was described by Businessweek as “a fundamentally different way of doing business”.
Batchbook is a people-first company. We have assembled a diverse and passionate team of individuals to help us build, and just as importantly, support our product. We place high-value on customer service and the importance of human touch in business. All of our team members work flexible schedules and spend at least some of their time working virtually. In 2011, we moved into our current headquarters in Providence’s old jewelry district, where we are excited to be part of a growing trend of new technology businesses. We open up our office as a free co-working space every Thursday.
We have also been very active with local start up accelerator BetaSpring, with our CEO serving as a mentor. Inspired by this relationship, we have started to work with other accelerators throughout the world to offer Batchbook as a tool to help them organize and grow important relationships.

No matter where your contacts currently live, you’ll find that Batchbook has open arms. Import your contacts via a CSV spreadsheet, a vCard file, via a contact form on your website, or directly from one of our integration partners.

Organize Your Contacts
Make your contact list useful with the ability to sort, resort, and view interesting segments of people. Get a better idea of who your customers are, how they relate to each other, and what next steps you need to take with them.
Decide which contacts to view by filtering based on tags, permission, recent activity, and our super neat champions button (to see those truly special customers).
Build a list of contacts based on specific and useful search criteria. Build lists based on location, last contacted, custom fields, and more.
Interact with People
Collecting information about your contacts is only half the battle. Building relationships is where the fun is! Encourage more customer interaction across your team and keep a running history of what has been said, promised, and accomplished.
Record important emails automatically and jot down notes from your conversations with contacts so you don’t forget what was said. Chat as a team about a contact by using our comments box.
Follow Up Tasks
Assign tasks to yourself or another team member based on your communications. Create lists to see who you haven’t talked to in awhile to make sure things don’t fall through the cracks.
